sushi me

A montage of video, spoken word, photography, original artwork and simple animation, sushime is a sensual exploration of food and friendship. Filled with raw fish, luxurious language, and subtle humor, this seven minute short has an original score created by myself, as well as a wonderfully haunting Japanese folksong by Japanese recording artist Jun Yasuba. The poem sushime was originally a spoken word performance piece; however, due to desire, support, and interest, I recreated the dinner that inspired the poem; the result is a work that brings the poems words even closer to peoples minds.

This movie was filmed on 4/20/09 by Doug Wellman, Cybirk, and Chuck Henderson and edited by me and is included with my book godmeat.
