Mercury moved into its backward appearing eliptic on the day Nelson and I were scheduled to leave New York, so we were retrograded out of the standby seats we hoped were ours, causing us to miss the International Poetry Festival; luckily the good bear bard Barry had me scheduled me as a feature on radio 100 Amsterdamon our second night in town. With host Mattius and sound engineer Hans, we were on the air from 8pm to 10pm, in a mix of conversation, Barry's poetry, my poetry (prerecorded and live), tunes from nelson's CD Blues In the Pocket, ambient background music, and whatever else came to mind. Here are a couple of pictures of us in the studio... |
